About Us

TIMEnet Multimedia

TIMEnet Multimedia is a business that manufactures, supply and service audiovisual technology to the education and commercial sector. Our commitment to design and develop Australian manufactured audiovisual technology has seen the creation of the TIMEnet range of digital multimedia access and distribution products.

We are a technology development company interested in designing and manufacturing new products in teaching and accessing audiovisual technology.

Our parent company, Appsys Proprietary Limited, was established in 1987 and has had over 23 years of design, manufacturing and development expertise. We have designed technology from simple interfaces to complex microprocessor based sensing, monitoring and control systems.

Appsys has also developed many software products including gymnasium membership programs and solar panel monitoring systems. Appsys was the leading manufacturer of solar panels for the Model Solar Car Competition events held in schools throughout Australia.

The formation of TIMEnet Multimedia is the result of its association with the supply, installation and service of multimedia equipment and distribution systems to the education and business sector. It was created in September 2007, when Appsys Pty. Ltd. bought the Controlsoft’s audiovisual department.

TIMEnet not only forms part of our business name but is also the name given to our product range. TIMETouch, TIMEBoard and TIMEServer are three of the unique products that form the core of our digital audiovisual multimedia distribution system.

The product, TIMEnet, is an ingenious integration of computer devices and software to create a complete digital multimedia distribution system with the essence of Internet accessibility.

Appsys Pty. Ltd. Publications include
Solar: Power of the Future, Building Model Solar Cars and Digital Technology.

Education of young minds

The central feature of education in the 21 Century is the need for students and teachers to intelligently research and explore new ways of thinking and learning. In particular, the use and management of multimedia and the Internet and its derivatives.

How the next generation is able to manage their time and resource is very much dependant on how they are taught to effectively access the phenomenal amounts of information available on multimedia technology, the wireless world and the Internet. How they sift through this vast amount of technology and information and decide what is valid, true and worth considering is vital to their ultimate performance in the world stage.

Education should teach young minds how to effectively deal with problems and situations they face. Today information is expansive and exceptionally easy to access; the problem that lies ahead for young minds is how to access this information and sift through the facts. We have computers to store and retrieve information in a manner that far exceeds human capabilities. What we do with the information will determine the final path of humanity.
